This project was a complete renovation to a 6,000 s.f. heritage building from the turn of the last century
in support of a residential care facility for homeless youth. The outdated interior, which had been subject to a myriad of alterations over the past 100 years was entirely demolished, and a new interior layout comprising staff office space, client sleeping quarters, lounge space and kitchen space was constructed.
Durable and high quality finishes were selected with careful attention paid to integrating with the building’s heritage façade. The new interior will feature barrier-free sleeping rooms, toilet and shower rooms, and a new elevator. Risk resistant features were integrated into the design to maximize
